one more delay...and we're off

The couple of things we had to take care of this morning took until mid-afternoon, so we will be leaving tomorrow morning in order to have daylight until we clear the shipping lanes. It's chilly today and the wind will be coming from the South now, so it will be a little bumpy for the first day. After that hopefully smooth sailing for a week.

We posted our route as a KML file so you can view it if you have Google Earth. You'll have to download the file, probably, then start google earth. On our Mac we just double clicked on the file and it opened in google earth. good luck.

see you in a week!

WOW! Now that I see your pictures I can see that your boat is a lot bigger than I thought. What an adventure. The interior sure looks nice and comfortable. I am sure you will have a wonderful time. Wish I was young enough to do something like that. I look forward to reading more about your adventures.
Love to all,

Just looked at the Google Earth route, you are going to be out in the gulf for several days, what a trip. Hope the boys will not be on deck without their life jackets. Also, can't remember how long your hair is, but if long enough, do a french braid and you can easily get by for a week or more. It's really comfortable too. Take care.

I can't see the route on Google Earth. Does anyone know if I am doing something wrong? I click on the link and it brings up "invalid page" screen...
